On Monday, Feb. 1 the coworking space at the SOVA Innovation Hub will open its doors to people wanting to join a coworking community.

A coworking community is a place where people can gather to get work done with amenities above and beyond what would be practical to have in a home office or stand-alone office space.

Amenities for all paid members of the coworking space include high-speed Wi-Fi, kitchenette, reception area, outdoor patio workspace with Wi-Fi, free parking, complimentary coffee, tea and water, access to book meeting space, and a wellness and mother’s room. 

Private phone booths also are available for members needing a quiet place to take a phone or video call.

The space will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with after-hours access available for dedicated desk and private office members.

The coworking community has already started booking tenants.

The SOVA Innovation Hub is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created by Mid-Atlantic Broadband (MBC) and Microsoft to spark economic transformation in Southern Virginia. 

By bringing together business and education partners to offer innovative programs, the goal of the Hub is to inspire people in Southern Virginia to pursue digital careers and entrepreneurship.
