The Halifax County Industrial Development Authority’s board of directors and staff meet with its strategic planning team Thursday in the IDA boardroom to map out a strategic plan for the organization’s future. Business growth was identified as a top priority for the Halifax County Industrial Development Authority when the board of directors and staff met with its strategic planning team Thursday to map out a path for the organization’s future.

The group, which along with IDA board and staff members included Halifax County ED-8 supervisor William Bryant Claiborne, had a roundtable discussion in the IDA boardroom with Beth Doughty, principal consultant for the strategic plan, and a member of Doughty’s team Liz Povar. Strengths, weaknesses and opportunities were discussed, as well as the IDA’s priorities moving forward.
