Halifax County High School had its annual career and technical education (CTE) showcase on Feb. 4 in the school lobby. An estimated 1,500 students viewed the CTE instructors’ offerings at the showcase. The showcase was part of a celebration of CTE month, which is the month of February. Halifax County High School offers 20 different CTE programs. All of the CTE programs have industry-recognized certifications, according to Debra Woltz, director of Halifax County High School’s CTE programs. She said said all of the programs are designed to prepare students for the workforce or their next level of education – earning a technical degree.
