Platinum sponsors of the Virginia Cantaloupe Festival invite residents to attend the biggest party of the summer from 5 to 10 p.m. Aug. 27 at Berry Hill Resort and Conference Center.

This year, guests will get to pick between barbecue, pizza, burgers, fries, bologna burgers, brisket and fried chicken. Each food truck is crafting a menu specifically for the festival. Attendees can visit D&D Skins for Reese Farm’s fresh corn and cantaloupe with ice cream to go along with their dinner. Check out the Virginia Cantaloupe Festival Facebook page to see menus as they are released.

There will not be a shortage of refreshing drinks at the 41st Cantaloupe Festival. Festival sponsor Bud Light and Budweiser will have tasty drinks on tap. This year, attendees will get to select from craft beers, Bud Light, Budweiser and Michelob Ultra.

For those who don’t enjoy beer, also included are Bold Rock ciders, Tiki Sangria, seltzers and orange smash and vodka mule samples. Nonalcoholic options include Pepsi products and water.
