STROKE AND APHASIA SUPPORT GROUP: SA stroke is treatable, and lives can improve with better awareness, access and action. Halifax County stroke survivors or those with similar brain injuries, family members and supporters are invited to attend the Stroke and Aphasia Support Group the second Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in the Edmunds meeting room. Stroke is the number one cause of disability and the number two cause of death. Stroke can occur with no warning, and age does not matter. Timely treatment is critical to survival and recovery. The Halifax County stroke support group meets the second Tuesday of each month from 2 until 3 p.m. at Sentara Halifax Hospital in the Edmunds Room.
