In honor of her late father Felix Ballou and best friend Aj Scott, international R&B and soul recording artist, Fee Blu, also known as Feleshia Ballou-Thornton, is bringing COVID relief to her hometown community on Thursday.
Blu is celebrating the success of her newly released hit single “Yellow,” which is a song about feeling good and being happy.
Hoping to continue those feelings of joy, Blue plans to spread some hope and happiness to her community by giving away a 24ft U-Haul truckload of “COVID essentials.”
Blu, along with her family and volunteers will be giving away big bags of food, vitamins, snacks, water and surgical masks at the Quick Shop on Sinai Rd from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, this will be a promptly moving drive-thru event, and each car will receive one big bag of essentials and water for free. Logistics will be in place to prevent crowding in the parking area.
Blu offered special thanks to Big Ballou Entertainment, Selena Ballou, Troy Norwood, Mary and Bill Wright, Jarell Edmonds, Damarious Perry and Joei Chancellor of God First for the surgical mask donations.
Additional thanks to Anthony Womack with Misunderstood for supporting this event.
The public is invited to come for these free essentials sponsored by The Gee Law firm in Virginia and Ricky Johnson & Friends Foundation.
