An organization formed to honor and remember those fighting cancer, Fighter Flight Against Cancer, will hold a fly-in all day Friday and Sunday and Saturday after 4 p.m. for all AMA members at the William Tuck Airport in South Boston.
The event is free for the public to attend.
The landing fee is $20, and International Miniature Aircraft Association and Academy of Model Aeronautics membership is required. There are paved and grass runways with no noise restrictions.
According to Mark Francisco, food will be on site and provided by the Experimental Aircraft Association.
Raffles and giveaways will continue throughout the event. Restroom facilities will be available on site.
Halifax County Cancer Association will direct parking at the airport, and all donations are welcome.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Halifax/Danville Cancer Association.
