The 18th annual South Boston Harvest Festival will come alive tomorrow in the streets of historic downtown South Boston.
Visitors are encouraged to bring the entire family, young and old alike, and stay for the day, said Tamyra Vest, South Boston’s community development coordinator.
Visitors will enjoy the live continuous music from the four entertainment stages, including a family entertainment stage, and over 125 vendors are expected to line the streets.
Children’s activities will include scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, Skeedaddle the Clown, bounce houses, and pony rides, Vest said.
All ages will enjoy juggler Paul Miller who packs magic, juggling, and comedy into his high-energy spectacle. New this year is ventriloquist Ron Johnson.
“Ron’s humorous blend of ventriloquism, comedy, magic and songs will keep you on the edge of your seat. And don’t miss the High Energy Magic performance of Speed & Thro, the only zany, crazy, on the edge of being out of control magic and illusion show you will ever see,” she added.
Visitors to the Wine Garden will enjoy wine tastings from 10 Premium Virginia Vineyards.
Both children and adults also will enjoy the Tinker’s Car Club Cruz-In, the fire truck from the South Boston Fire Department and having their picture drawn by the caricature artist.
“You will never be hungry with the wide variety of food that is available throughout the festival,” Vest promised.
