Grand jury indicts man on robbery, abduction charges

A Halifax County Circuit Court Grand Jury indicted a 25-year-old Nathalie man on Monday for five felonies.
The grand jury indicted Eric Lamont Davis for one count each of abduction, robbery, grand larceny, use of a firearm in attempting or committing robbery and use of a firearm in attempting or committing abduction.
The alleged offenses occurred May 22, according to court records.
Other indictments handed down Monday included:
• Michael Allen Waller, 40, of Gretna indicted for a subsequent offense of assault and battery of a family or household member, with the offense allegedly occurring June 23.
• Charles Gregory Womack, 43, of Halifax indicted for enhanced petty larceny, with the offense allegedly occurring July 4.
• McKenzie Adam Stevens, 21, of Virgilina indicted for malicious wounding, with the offense allegedly occurring July 29.
• Mandy Leigh Hall Shelton, 28, of Scottsburg indicted for enhanced petty larceny, with the offense allegedly occurring May 30.
• Murray Druvell Sanford, 43, of South Boston indicted for failing to register for the sex offender and crimes against minors registry, with the offense allegedly occurring April 5.
• Cory Kevin Price, 23, of Drakes Branch indicted for fraudulent conversion of rental property, with the offense allegedly occurring Oct. 11, 2011.
• Alan Scott Phillips, 46, of Petersburg indicted for destruction of personal property, with the offense allegedly occurring June 21.
• Raashaun De’Shay Newman, 26, of South Boston indicted for grand larceny of an amount greater that $5 (pick pocket), with the offense allegedly occurring July 13.
• Tanya Eve Medlock, 41, of South Boston indicted for child neglect, with the offense allegedly occurring April 27.
• Christian Lante McDougald, 28, of South Boston indicted for malicious wounding, with the offense allegedly occurring May 13.
• Daniel Darrell Jiggetts, 31, of South Boston indicted for a subsequent offense of shoplifting, with the offense allegedly occurring April 27.
• Sara Courtney Hereford, 26, of Cluster Springs indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance, with the offense allegedly occurring April 2.
• Michael Anthony Elam, 47, of Lynchburg indicted for two counts of a subsequent offense of shoplifting, with the offenses allegedly occurring May 2 and June 25.
• Tony Ezra Cunningham, 50, of South Boston indicted for a subsequent offense of driving after having been declared a habitual offender, with the offense allegedly occurring June 18.
• Joseph Thomas Eggleston, 46, of South Boston indicted for possession of a firearm as a non-violent felon, with the offense allegedly occurring May 22.
• Marvin Leon Cabler, 58, of Halifax indicted for a subsequent offense of driving after having been declared a habitual offender, with the offense allegedly occurring May 24.
