Woman facing larceny charge

A 50-year-old Halifax woman faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting, according to South Boston Police Office records.
Claudette Hankins Lipscomb was charged with the alleged offense Wednesday.
• Shirley Terry Majors, 49, of South Boston faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting.
She was charged with the alleged offense Wednesday.
• Jerome Franklin Roberts, 57, of Clarksville faces a charge of embezzlement.
He was charged with the alleged offense Wednesday.
In other sheriff’s office reports, sometime during the day Wednesday someone forced open a rear door to the home of Raven Long on Cluster Springs Road in Alton and stole some jewelry, a shotgun, some computer equipment, a guitar and some prescription medication, according to Lieutenant Steve M. Cassada.
Deputy Craig Spencer is the investigating officer.
