Drakes Branch man killed in freak accident

A 61-year-old Drakes Branch man was killed in a work related accident Monday, according to Mecklenburg County Sheriff R. W. Hawkins.
Charles Guill was pronounced dead at 1:05 p.m. the scene of an industrial site on Highway 49 near Lawson Road in Clarksville community.
The accident occurred while Guill was setting an off frame home on this site, and the home slid off the transporting frame pinning the 61-year-old victim, Hawkins said.
Deputies responded to the report of a fatality after Mecklenburg Life Station pronounced Guill dead.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) officials were called to investigate the fatality.
