Mrs. Patsy Epps Lloyd of South Boston died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at the Durham Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax County on Nov. 20, 1943 and was 68 years old. She was the daughter of the late Cecil Henry Epps and Shirley Osborne Epps who survives. She was married to the late James Clarence Lloyd.
She was member of Winns Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Patsy Epps Lloyd is survived by one son, Kenneth Darrell Lloyd, and wife Kim of Halifax; four grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Kendall and Clay Lloyd; two sisters, Brenda Ashby and husband Russell of Halifax and Betty Davis and husband Ted of Monroe; four brothers, Mickey Epps and wife Cindy of Lynchburg, David Epps and wife Michelle of Halifax, Dwight Epps and wife Kelly of Richmond and Tony Epps of Halifax; special sister-in-law, Helen Barksdale, and husband Bruce of Halifax; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Cecil Wayne Epps and Timothy Allen Epps, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Winns Creek Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James Kopco and the Rev. Barry Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family received friends Tuesday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Winns Creek Baptist Church fellowship hall and other times at her home.
