Mr. Delvin Maurice “Dip” Edmonds of Richmond, formerly of South Boston, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at the age of 34.
Mr. Edmonds was born in Halifax County on Oct. 24, 1977 to Mr. James Paul Edmonds and Mrs. Wanda Coleman Edmonds. He was married to Mrs. Carla Austina Holcomb Edmonds and was a member of Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Mr. Zamir Edmonds and Mr. Zakiyah Edmonds, both of the home; his parents of South Boston; two brothers, Mr. LaMonte Edmonds and Mr. Jamand Edmonds, both of South Boston; one sister, Ms. Ashlee Coleman of Chesapeake; his grandmother, Mrs. Marjorie Coleman of Nathalie; mother-in-law, Ms. Deloris Holcomb of Richmond; father-in-law, CSM Carl Holcomb and wife Margie of Mechanicsville; four aunts; two uncles; one brother-in-law; four sisters-in-law; one niece; two nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends including the devoted, Mr. Merv Grandy.
Funeral services for Mr. Edmonds will be Saturday, May 12, at 1 p.m. at County Line Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Otis Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James and Wanda Edmonds, 54 Poplar Creek Street, South Boston.
