Mrs. Willie Lee Rice Glasscock, 83, of Virgilina and widow of Clifton Coolidge Glasscock, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, at The Woodview in South Boston.
Willie Lee was born Jan. 8, 1929 to the late William Arthur and Lucy Maria Morris Rice. She was a retired spinner with Burlington Industries.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Virgilina Cemetery with the Rev. Sid Rodriguez officiating.
Mrs. Glasscock is survived by her daughter, Jean Lowery; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Wanda Glasscock; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her sisters and brother-in-law, Bertha Elliott, Rebecca and Melvin Honeycutt; and brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Tuny Rice, Douglas “Dee” Rice, Thomas Rice, and Cecil and Dotty Rice.
Her son-in-law, Gerald Lowery Sr.; and her sisters, Dorothy Honeycutt, Helen Newton and Emma Rice, also preceded Mrs. Glasscock in death.
Cremation Society of Virginia-Southside, Inc. is assisting the Glasscock family.
