Mrs. Eleanor Blankenship Guill of 1220 Dudley Road, Halifax died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the Berry Hill Health and Rehab Center in South Boston.
She was born in Charlottesville on Dec. 11, 1935 and was 76 years old. She was the daughter of the late Guy Blankenship and Ethel Moran Blankenship Crowder and was married to the late Marvis Bailey Guill.
She was a member of the former Halifax Presbyterian Church and was a retired employee of the Halifax County Department of Social Services and was the owner of Hickory Hill Kennels.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne G. Meadows, and husband Donnie of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; one son, Kenneth W. Guill, and wife Jan of Midlothian; one brother, John Crowder, of Newport News; four grandchildren, Ashley Jackson Hilger of Virginia Beach, Tyler and Adam Guill of San Diego, Calif. and Meredith Guill of Midlothian; one great-grandchild, Audrie Hilger.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Oak Level Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Ed Melvin officiating.
