Mrs. Elizabeth Compton Pulliam, 70, of 4854 Tom Fork Road, Ringgold died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Piney Forest Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Pulliam was born in Pittsylvania County, on Nov. 5, 1942. Mrs. Pulliam was a homemaker and a member of Aarons Creek Baptist Church.
Her parents, Buster Compton and Gracie Lee Clay Compton, and her husband, Walter Amos Pulliam, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Amos Pulliam and wife Lori of Virgilina, Donald Pulliam and wife Marie of Oxford, N.C., and Henry Pulliam and wife Jennifer of Ringgold; daughter Carolyn Dickerson and husband Robert of Oxford, N.C.; three sisters, Geneva Smith and Janie Pulliam, both of Virgilina, and Vernell Hubbard of Eden, N.C.; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pulliam will be held at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at 2 p.m. Henry Smith will officiate with interment at Aarons Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Pulliam was held at Brooks Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of Amos Pulliam, 1169 Rice School Road, Virgilina.
