Mr. Isaac Johnson Jr. of Clover died April 27 at Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 80.
Mr. Johnson was born in Columbia, S.C. on April 3, 1933 and was the son of the late Mr. Issac Johnson Sr. and Mrs. Isabell Grier Johnson. He was married to the late Mrs. Gladys Coleman Johnson and was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church.
Survivors of Mr. Johnson include four daughters, Mrs. Iris Coleman Payne and husband Grover of Raleigh, N.C., Ms. Yvette Coleman of Glen Allen, Ms. Angela Johnson Adams and Mrs. Delores Wynn and husband Don, all of Connecticut; seven sons, Mr. Kevin Coleman of Clover, Mr. Eddie Johnson and wife Dorothy, Mr. Johnny Johnson and wife Lisa, Mr. Ricky Johnson and wife Annie and Mr. Frederick Johnson, all of Connecticut, Mr. Phillip White and Mr. James Johnson and wife Sonya, all of South Carolina; one sister, Mrs. Jacqueline Greene, and husband Melvin of Clover; one brother, Mr. Charles Coleman, of Knightdale, N.C.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and devoted friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, one son, Mr. Isaac Johnson, and one sister, Mrs. Amanda Veronica Jones, also preceded Mr. Johnson in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, at 3 p.m. at Saint Matthew Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfred Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the service Saturday.
