Timothy Lee Lloyd of Berry Hill Road, South Boston died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at his home. He was born in Halifax County on Dec. 6, 1963 and was 49 years of age. He was the son of the late Raleigh Hagood Lloyd and is survived by his mother, Anne Lucretia Pixley Lloyd. He is also survived by his wife, Christy Gail Jackson Lloyd.
Mr. Lloyd was a member of Revelation Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, and mother of Roxboro, N.C., survivors include one daughter, Leighanne Lloyd, of Cluster Springs; his mother-in-law, Doris Jackson, of Crystal Hill; two aunts, Nora Pixley and Margaret Carlton, both of Roxboro; a cousin, Barbara Bailey, of Roxboro; numerous other cousins; two uncles, J.C. Satterfield of South Boston and Chuck Pixley of Roxboro.
One son, Nicholas Allen Lloyd; one aunt, Nell Satterfield; his paternal grandmother, Annie Lloyd Hazelwood Guill; his maternal grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Pixley; his maternal grandfather, Royal Pixley; and a cousin, Dean Satterfield, also preceded Mr. Lloyd in death.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Billy Coghill officiating.
Family and friends will be resided Wednesday, Sept. 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home.
