Bigfoot, the original Monster Truck, and driver Darron Schnell stomped the competition during the Monster Truck Invasion Sunday evening at South Boston Speedway.
Bigfoot came away the winner in the wheelie contest and had the best qualifying time before being crowned the racing winner after a contest with four other Monster Trucks.
Schnell and Bigfoot also came away a winner in the freestyle competition during the show, which attracted several thousand fans to the speedway for its final event of the year.
Four other Monster Trucks and one mini-monster truck made their way to South Boston Speedway Sunday night to challenge Bigfoot.
Mike Vaters II and Iron Warrior, Darrin Goin and War Wizard, Mike Vaters and Black Stallion, and Jimmy Tracey and Higher Education rounded out the Monster Truck field, while 19-year-old Katelyn Moser behind the wheel of mini-monster truck Pandora was at her car-crushing best.
Mike Vaters II entertained the crowd with various FMX tricks between Monster Truck competitions, and his father, Mike Vaters presented a one-of-a-kind show Sunday night driving a 4-wheeler that sports a 1,500 horsepower jet engine.
Vaters and the jet-powered quad did a burn with flames that charred a salvage car during the show.
A fireworks display lit up the night to end the Monster Truck Invasion and finish out the 2013 event schedule at South Boston Speedway.
