Anne Carlton Gravitt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Gravitt of South Boston, and Raymond “Ray” M. Conner III, son of Mr. Raymond M. Conner Jr. of South Boston and the late Betty Estes Conner, were married on Sept. 22, 2018.
Anne Carlton is the granddaughter of the late Dallas and Betsy Gravitt and the late Fred and Vivian Evans.
Ray is the grandson of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Conner, and the late of Archie and Marie Estes.
The ceremony was held at Cooper’s Landing Inn and Traveler’s Tavern in Clarksville with the Rev. Pat Cox officiating at the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Katie Marie Mullins as matron of honor.
The best man was C. Eric Osborne, the groom’s nephew.
James B. “JB” Walker, best friend of the groom, and Arron Gravitt, brother of the bride, served as ushers.
The bride graduated from Jefferson College of Health Sciences and holds a bachelor’s degree in emergency sciences and critical care. She is employed by Pulmonary Associates of Southside Virginia.
The groom is employed by the town of South Boston as captain of South Boston Fire Department.
After a week in Savannah, Georgia, the couple will reside in South Boston.
