Ashley Dawn Hughes and Brandon Charles Reece were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at 4 p.m. at the home of the groom’s parents in Julian, North Carolina.
Minta Phillips of Julian was the officiant.
The bride is the daughter of Floyd and Linda Hughes of Nathalie. She is the granddaughter of Mary Ann Hughes of Nathalie and the late Floyd Hughes, the late Clyde Hammock, Pattie Stafford of Halifax and the late Clyde Stafford, the late Leon and Joyce Lusk, and Flora Belle Reese of Greensboro, North Carolina, and the late Clyde Reece.
She was escorted by her father and wore a satin white gown with camo sash and diamonds and buttons down the back. She wore a camo veil with pearls. Her bouquet was roses and sunflowers, with eight roses for each deceased family member on both sides.
Maid of honor was Amy Humphries of Alton. Bridesmaids were Kelly Gilliam of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Caroline Busick of Alabama. They wore brown wrangler dresses with cowboy boots. Their bouquets were of yellow sunflowers with green, tan brown ribbon.
Flower girl was Madison Harvey. She wore a white lace dress with camo sash and cowboy boots.
Ed Reece was best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Owen of Liberty, North Carolina, Matthew Busick of Alabama and Ryan Hughes of Nathalie. They wore camo vests, tan wrangler shirts, bluejean, and cowboy boots, and their boutonnieres were made of red shotgun shells with carnations.
Ringbearers were Colton and Peyton Owen of Liberty, North Carolina. Their attire was the same as the groomsmen.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony.
The couple honeymooned in Panama City Beach, Florida.
They reside in Julian, North Carolina.
