Janet Lynn Guill, daughter of Randy and Joyce Guill, and John Matthew Deal, son of William and Doris Deal, were married during an outdoor wedding ceremony at their home on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, in South Boston. The Rev. Clinton McKinney performed the double ring ceremony.
The aisle was scattered with jewel tone rose petals. Fall plants in matching colors adorned the sides of the aisle with tree trunk benches for the guests on each side. The altar was covered in red roses and white flowers. There were unity candles, memory candles and a family unity puzzle placed on the altar.
The bride wore an ivory satin gown with a beaded bodice and a white tulle embroider train. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses tied with jewel toned ribbons.
Cassie Snead, Anna Lewis, Christina Reagan, Wendy Toone and Kelsey Deal were bridesmaids wearing jewel tone long dresses. Caroline Moon, Peyton Buchanan, Kynley Buchanan, Brooklyn Matthews and Cate Moon served as flower girls wearing satin and tulle dresses and carrying baskets with jewel tone petals. Nicholas Deal, Aubrey Buist, Cameron Reagan, Billy Deal and Austin Moon were the groomsmen wearing navy pants, white button down shirts, and suspenders and bow ties in jewel tones to match the bridesmaids. The ring bearers, Andrew Moon, Ashton Reagan, Noah Toone and Elijiah Reagan, wore outfits to match the groomsmen.
Ten candles were lit in memory of the groom’s brothers Rodney Deal and Timmy Deal, and also in memory of their eight grandparents.
Following the ceremony, they took a brief trip to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. A honeymoon is scheduled over the holidays.
