The marriage of Miss Meredith Lewis Elliott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Frazier Elliott of South Boston, to Mr. Sidney Robert Pace III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Robert Pace II of Unionville, took place at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at First Baptist Church in South Boston. The Rev. Dr. Robert Ballance officiated the service. A reception followed the ceremony at The Prizery in South Boston.
The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas Harris and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Johnson Elliott.
The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Calvin Lawson and Mrs. Althea Claire Higginbotham Pace of Orange and the late Mr. Sidney Robert Pace Sr.
Mrs. Anne Frazier Elliott Beaumont, sister of the bride of Raleigh, North Carolina, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Lee Lewis of Raleigh, North Carolina, cousin of the bride, and sisters of the groom, Mrs. Maria Pace Purcell of Orange and Mrs. Gretchen Pace Blickle of Annapolis, Maryland. Ms. Sarah Bradford McCollum of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Ms. Whitney Hendricks of Hampton, friends of the bride, also served as bridesmaids.
Mr. Ryan Lawson, cousin of the groom from Ashburn, served as best man. Mr. Colin Lawson of Baltimore, Maryland, Mr. Kyle Lawson of Falls Church, Mr. Joseph Lawson of Orange and Mr. Rob Johnson of Locust Grove, cousins of the groom, and Mr. Christopher Dulin of Locust Grove, friend of the groom, served as groomsmen.
The evening before the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Robert Pace II hosted a rehearsal dinner at Berry Hill Resort in South Boston.
The bride is a graduate of Christopher Newport University. She is a first grade teacher in Unionville. The groom is a graduate of James Madison University. He is employed by Pace Fence and Livestock in Unionville.
The couple resides in Unionville.
