The Virginia Cooperative Extension Family Nutrition Program will be starting a free six-session program entitled Healthy Eating and Staying Active As We Age.
The class will start at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and continue every Tuesday through Dec. 17.
A morning family nutrition class with be starting at 10 on Wednesday and continue every Wednesday through Jan. 8.
Both classes will be held at The Virginia Cooperative Extension in Halifax.
The public is invited to join for free food tasting, reinforcements (cutting board set, insulated lunch bag, water bottle, grocery list pad, etc.) at each lesson, recipes, educational handouts and upon completion, a certificate will be given along with a free cookbook.
