Red Bank Revival is embarking on a fall tour for the first time ever, including a performance at the South Boston Harvest Festival on Sept. 28 at the Charles St. Stage from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Red Bank Revival includes four original members of the popular 1970s band The Midnight Raiders. After a long hiatus for life, several members reunited in 2017, recruited a few new members, and voila – Red Bank Revival was officially formed.
Since 2018, Red Bank Revival has been making a name for themselves on the local scene in Halifax County and gaining a steady following.
Red Bank Revival blends the influences of country, beach music, bluegrass, gospel, and of course, that old time rock n’ roll. Their set includes such staples as “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Proud Mary,” “Good Golly Miss Molly,” “Give Me Just A Little More Time” and “Mustang Sally.”
Red Bank Revival is comprised of Alvin Nelson (vocals), Mike Young (drums, backing vocals), Jimmy Watts (rhythm guitar and vocals), Dianne Watts (vocals), Donnie Lassiter (vocals), David Fisher (vocals), Mike King (lead guitar, backing vocals), Larry Bowen (bass, backing vocals), Marlene Seamster (keyboards) and Michael Glasscock (organ).
