Regis Philbin remembered

Television host and Emmy Award winner, Regis Philbin, died Friday, July 24, at the age of 88 of natural causes.  Philbin is known for hosting, “Live with Regis and Kathie Lee (Kathie Lee Gifford)” and “Live with Kelly (Kelly Ripa).”  He also hosted the game show, “Who Wants to be a Millionaire,” and Miss America pageants and was part of the first season of “America’s Got Talent.”  Philbin was awarded six Emmy awards and a Lifetime Achievement award for his work.  He was inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Television Academy Hall of Fame.  The TV host holds the world record for most hours on U.S. television with a total of 16,500 hours on air, according to Guinness World Records.
