The South Boston Church of God will have a gospel concert at 6 p.m. on Sunday featuring The Churchmen. The church is located at 3000 Halifax Road in South Boston.

The Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, a small rural church in Halifax County has established a student scholarship named for two recently retired IMB missionary-educators at the Uganda Baptist Seminary.

I peered out the window one very early morning, and a large, brightly colored, plump robin arrived to survey the premises. He looked around carefully, made one plunge with his long beak into the grass and came up with a huge, wriggling worm.
