Halifax and Main Street United Methodist Church’s combined youth groups joined together for Community Clean Up Day in Halifax.

Youth from various churches worked throughout the week to clean up Halifax County while following the rules of social distancing. The group has been working together for the past couple of years and was excited to find a way to be active in the midst of this “stay at home” time.

Previous activities include singing Christmas carols at various nursing homes, yard clean up for neighbors, planting a garden at the library and even painting pumpkins with the memory unit patients at Sentara Woodview.

The group is not specific to United Methodists but open to all youth who want to come together and fellowship and work for the betterment of our community and our own lives.
