PHOTOS: Churches unite for Palm Sunday processional
Members of First Baptist Church, First Presbyterian Church, Main Street United Methodist Church and Trinity Episcopal Church met Sunday at 10 a.m. at the former Boston Commons building on North Main Street for Palm Sunday processional. Bearing palm leaves and singing hymns of the faith, the church members march down to the corner of North Main Street and Second Street. Palm Sunday is a day of celebration and sadness for Christians as Jesus entered into Jerusalem on a donkey to the sounds of crowds cheering their king. The South Boston churches’ annual Palm Sunday processional is a gathering to remember that procession and celebrate that Lord.
