Bethel Community Ruritan club presents Tom Downing Award

Bethel Community Ruritan Club member Roy Yeatts recently was presented the distinguished Tom Downing Award. The prestigious Tom Downing Award is the highest award given to a Ruritan. Fewer than 1% of all Ruritans are Tom Downing Fellows, making this a distinctive honor among members. This honor from Ruritan National Foundation, sponsored by the club, is earned by one who demonstrates unselfish personal effort to the club and the community. Participating in the presentation are (from left) Dan River District Governor Melody Davis, Leslie Yeatts, Roy’s daughter-in-law, Yeatts, his son, Kevin Yeatts, and Bonnie Bowen.
