Shannon Hair, executive director of the Danville Community College Education Foundation, was the speaker at the monthly meeting of South Boston Post D, Travelers Protective Association (TPA). Hair discussed the history of Danville Community College and the creation of the DCC Education Foundation. He stated that citizens of Halifax County played a big part in the growth of the foundation and how it grew to having over $14 million dollars in assets. The foundation raises money to help with needed funds that the state does not provide as well as scholarships for students.
