The Halifax County Master Gardeners organization will hold its 22nd annual plant sale on May 2 in front of the Halifax Extension Office on Main Street in Halifax.
The sale is held annually to raise funds for 4-H scholarships, support the public programming throughout the year and provide support for various horticultural projects in our communities. Along with these projects Master Gardeners supply plants and materials needed for the Botanical Garden at Edmunds Park.
A new addition this year will be a kids tent. Children will have the opportunity to learn about plants and enjoy participating in craft making.
Master Gardeners invite the community to spend 7:30 a.m. to noon at the plant sale then support the Heritage Festival at the fairgrounds.
Any questions or anyone having perennials they would like to donate for the sale contact the Halifax Extension Office at 434-476-2147.
