Liberty

Lord, I pray that You would establish my liberty

In a place of warmth and beauty.

Let me warm my bones at home

By the hearth of one accord,

For this is my earthly reward:

To serve the Lord of my own volition,

To forsake all dead religion,

Now freedom is my new tradition.

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is

there is liberty.”

One Word from Him has set me free.

The joy has come in the morning.

It is the end of all my mourning.

Sadness has had to flee

For the Lord hath set me free.

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is

there is liberty.”
