What a strange time we’re living in now!
Just a few months ago, who would have thought
That the world would be like it is today,
When children have to stay at home to be taught?
We hadn’t heard of things like social distancing,
Face masks, business closings, and empty churches, too.
We’re left with fears and many inconveniences.
What will be the next thing we experience that is new?
We hear many predictions about the duration.
During the summer months, will it begin to go away?
Will it come back and then just grow stronger?
People just don’t know what to do or what to say.
It’s normal to want to be with other people,
But we should remember who’s in control of everything.
Knowing the love that God has for each one of us,
Such joy, peace, and thankfulness that should bring.
Let’s try to do things for others to bring them joy.
Let’s not complain when things around us don’t go our way.
Let’s be patient, kind, and longsuffering to others.
Then we’ll be happy and look forward to each new day.
