Sow Good Seeds

Members of the Sow Good Seeds organization who are busy planning for the Fight Against Cancer Choir Fest at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, are (from left) Peggy Brown, Sharon Blosser, HCCA director, Lottie Ferrell and Annette Slappy.

Choirs from various churches will be coming together to sing for the Fight Against Cancer Choir Fest to be held at Halifax County High School on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 3 p.m.

Door prizes will be given, and vendors will be on site.

The public is invited to come out and show its support, and supporters are encouraged to wear a cancer color of choice in honor or memory of someone who has been impacted by this disease.

The purpose of the Sow Good Seeds organization is to share and enjoy wholesome entertainment while providing financial aid to select nonprofit organizations or individuals.

The group’s motto is “If I can help somebody as I travel along, then my living shall not be in vain.”

Proceeds will be going to the Halifax County Cancer Association to help the families in the Halifax County community.
