They say it’s going to be getting colder, so these might be some that warm you up. I hope you will enjoy.
1 package of Lipton onion soup mix
3/4 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup grape jelly
2 T water
1 pound ground beef
1 medium green pepper chopped

In a small bowl combine onion soup mix, chili sauce, grape jelly and water in a 10 inch skillet. Brown the meat with green peppers over medium heat. Drain. Stir in soup mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer, stirring some, around five minutes until a little thick. Makes six servings.
The next one is also a good one to serve over hot rice.
GOLDEN GLAZED FLANK STEAK
1 package Lipton soup mix or onion-mushroom soup mix
1 jar (12 ounces) apricot or peach preserves
1/2 cup water
1 flank steak, about 2 pounds, cut into thin strips
2 medium peppers, either green or red
Hot cooked rice
In a small bowl combine onion soup mix, preserves and water. Set aside. On broiling pan, arrange steak and peppers and top with soup mixture. Broil turning once until steak is done. Serve over the hot rice. Makes eight servings.
