Well it’s Christmas. Hope everybody is ready. This week I’m going to do some I hope you like.

NUT ROLL

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/2 t soda

1 T white syrup

1/2 t vanilla

Put all in a small sauce pan. Boil until soft ball stage, about three to five minutes. Pour over the whole cake until well coated while the cake is hot.

PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE 

1/2 cup peanut butter 

1 pound brown sugar  

1/2 cup milk 

3/4 cup peanut better

1 pound confectioners sugar 

In a sauce pan, melt butter and stir in brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Mix in confectioners sugar. Spread into greased 9-inch square pan. Chill until firm. Pour out and cut into squares. Makes 3 1/2 pounds.
