Two individuals face assault and battery charges after deputies responded to a disturbance at Bojangles on Philpott Road in South Boston, according to Sheriff Fred S. Clark.

He said when deputies arrived they found that an altercation had occurred between an employee and a customer in regards to a subject not wearing a mask.

Natasha Morton, 38 of Philpott Road and Kevin Meade, 29 of Mullins, South Carolina were both arrested for assault and battery, said Clark.

Both subjects were transported to Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Halifax.

Morton was released on a $1,500 unsecured bond, and Meade was released on a $2,500 secured bond.
