Details have been released in the investigation that resulted in the arrest of 55-year-old Jerry Remines of Yates Street in South Boston who was charged with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of computer trespass.

The charges stemmed from an ongoing investigation that started in October, according to Lt. Randy Redd with the South Boston Police Department.

Redd said during the course of the investigation, search warrants were obtained that led to the seizure of several computer storage devices, including a phone.

During the search of some of the devices seized, Redd said evidence was found that led to these charges.

Remines was arrested and taken to The Halifax Adult Detention Center where he was held on a $5,000 secured bond on the possession of child pornography charge and $5,000 secured bond on the computer trespass charge.

This investigation is ongoing and more charges are anticipated in this case.

Special agents with the Virginia State Police are assisting with this investigation.

Detective T. N. Bratton is the investigating officer in this matter.
