A 33-year-old Halifax man faces a felony charge of discharging a gun in a dwelling and a misdemeanor charge of reckless handling of a firearm, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Ibrahim Hall Mubarak of Crystal Hill Road was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred Tuesday, and Deputy J. S. Garber served the warrants the same day.

• Cassandra Anita Womack, 44, of Sinai Road, South Boston faces a felony charge of writing a bad check.

The alleged offense occurred March 26, and another agency served the warrant Wednesday.

• Michael Jackson, 42, of College Street, South Boston faces a felony charge of being a convicted felon with a firearm.

The alleged offense occurred June 13, and Garber served the warrant Tuesday.

• Byron Scott Moore Jr. of James D. Hagood Highway faces a misdemeanor charge of writing a bad check.

The alleged offense occurred March 11, and Garber served the warrant Tuesday.

• Al Rahim Brooks, 40, of Florida Avenue, Roanoke faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Feb. 11, and another agency served the warrant Tuesday.

• Travis Wade Hamlett, 30, of Floralee Road, Phenix faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred Monday, and another agency served the warrant Wednesday.

• Kevin Gary Muse, 58, of Meadville Road, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred June 15, and Cpl. S. Britton served the warrant Wednesday.

• Kristine Monette Dunn, 27, of Indians Springs Drive, Nelson faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred June 20, and another agency served the warrant Wednesday.

• A 31-year-old Halifax woman, Charlise Donielle Sims Kirby of Ball Park Loop, faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving on a suspended license after a DUI conviction, providing false information to a law enforcement officer, having no valid registration, having defective equipment and no registration and contempt of court, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer D. Blanks Jr. served the warrants on Thursday, and Sims was held on $2,500 bond on the driving charges and no bond on the contempt charge that stems from an alleged offense that occurred May 14.
