A 33-year-old South Boston woman, Joy Anequa White of Howard Avenue, faces charges of grand larceny with the amount greater than or exceeding $1,000, breaking and entering into an occupied house to commit a misdemeanor and larceny of a firearm, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer D. Blanks Jr. served the warrants on Tuesday. White was held under a $3,000 secured bond.

• Nyja Felton Howell, 46, of Ellyson Avenue, South Boston, faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Cpl. S. Britton served the warrant on Saturday for the alleged offense occurring on Friday.

• Ashton Lamar Newman, 28, of Fenton Street, South Boston, faces a felony charge of violating probation of a felony offense.

South Boston officer J. Eanes served the warrant on Monday. Newman was held with no bond.

• Alicia Rae Mayes, 38, of Darlington Heights Road, Farmville, faces a misdemeanor charge of computer harassment.

Deputy T.A. Leath served the warrant on Saturday for the alleged offense occurring that same day.

• Robert Bernard Herbert Jr., 33, of Clays Mill Road, Halifax, faces a misdemeanor charge of violating a protective order.

Leath served the warrant on Saturday for the alleged offense occurring on Friday.

• Josey May Noblin, 35, of Clays Mill Road, Halifax, faces four misdemeanor charges of violating community based probation.

Deputy T.W. Bush served the warrants on Saturday for the alleged offenses occurring on Jan. 19.

• Peggy Laverne Anderson, 62, of First Street, South Boston, faces a misdemeanor charge of public swearing/intoxication.

Leath served the warrant on Monday for the alleged offense occurring that same day.
