Gunfire hit a vehicle Saturday evening in South Boston, a day after authorities investigated another call of shots fired in a different part of town, the police department reported.
Officers responded to a call of several gunshots at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Magnolia Drive and Vaughan Street, reported 1st Sgt. T.M. Van Aernem in a Sunday afternoon news release.
Officers discovered that one vehicle had a single bullet hole. Police provided no details or possible suspects in the shooting.
Several “items of evidence” were recovered at the scene, police reported. The case is still under investigation. J.D. DeSantis is the investigating officer.
The day before, officers responded to a call of several gunshots fired at the 1400 block of Wilborn Avenue. Police said no property damage resulted from that incident reported at about 2:45 p.m. Friday.
