A 15-year-old male juvenile has been served a petition for his alleged involvement in the fight that occurred at Love Shop Trailer Park on March 25.

According to Sheriff Fred S. Clark, the juvenile was charged with three counts of malicious wounding and is being held at W. W. Moore Juvenile Detention Center in Danville.

Deputies with the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, officers with the South Boston Police Department and Virginia State Police responded to the 7 p.m. fight and found one juvenile with severe lacerations to his hand, said Clark.

Further investigation revealed that an altercation between several juveniles and adults occurred at the Love Shop Trailer Park.

The majority of those involved left prior to the arrival of law enforcement, said Clark.

The sheriff said it was later found out that three juveniles were transported by personal vehicle to Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital for medical treatment.

Clark added that each had severe lacerations that required immediate medical attention.

The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are pending.
