A 31-year-old Keysville man, Benjamin Wayne Parsons, faces three charges of shoplifting/altering price of merchandise, and a charge each of attempting to elude police, possession of burglarious tools, possession of a weapon as a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to South Boston Police Department records.

He also faces charges of bail/pretrial violation, violation of condition of release, providing false identification to law enforcement and possession of Schedule I or II controlled substance.

Officer A. Dunn served the warrants on Sunday and Wednesday.

• James Lejuane Martin, 47, of Glendale Drive, South Boston faces charges of failure to stop or yield, operating a vehicle with improper breaks, not reporting an accident and destruction of property.

Officer D. Blanks Jr. served the warrants Wednesday.

Martin was held on a $1,500 unsecured bond.

• Gary Demond Sanford, 23, of Halifax faces a charge of trespassing.

Dunn served the warrant Oct. 9.

• Roger Neal Francis, 44, of Christiansburg faces a charge of assault and battery of a family member.

Blanks served the warrant Friday.

Francis was held on a $1,500 secured bond.

• Janet Denise York, 45, of Christiansburg faces a charge of felonious assault with intent to maim.

Blanks served the warrant Friday.

York was held with no bond.

• Quinn Theadon Tucker, 33, of Lincoln Drive, South Boston faces a chare of assault and battery of a family member and destruction or property.

Officer A. B. Jones served the warrant Oct. 7.

• Sean Nathaniel Dorsey, 47, of South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of violating pretrial conditions, police report.

The alleged offense occurred Sept. 15, and deputy T. W. Crute served the warrant Tuesday.

• Gregory Tyrone Venable, 44, of Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Wednesday, and deputy C. G. Martin served the warrant Thursday.
