A 39-year-old Lynchburg man faces four felony charges – two for grand larceny over $500 and two for identity theft, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

James William Payton of Timber Court was charged with the alleged offenses that occurred April 18, and another agency served the warrants on Wednesday.

• Ashley Dawn West, 24, of Saddlebrook Road, Roxboro, North Carolina, faces a felony charge for robbery and attempts.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 2, and Deputy W. G. Nunn served the warrant on Tuesday.

• Melquan Rashaun Carr, 29, of Drive In Road, Nathalie, faces a felony charge for a probation violation.

The alleged offense occurred March 1, and another agency served the warrant on Wednesday.

• Kanesha Dudley, 23, Old Main Street, Brookneal, faces a misdemeanor charge for contempt of court.

The alleged offense occurred July 23, and another agency served the warrant on Wednesday.

• Isaiah Tyrese Webb, 20, of Cumberland Road, Farmville faces a misdemeanor charge for assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Aug. 4, and Deputy R.W. Guthrie served the warrant on Wednesday.

• A 54-year-old Virgilina resident faces a charge of being drunk in public/curse and abuse, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer L. Perkins charged Anthony S. Melton of Christie Circle with the alleged offense that occurred on Wednesday.
