• A 68-year-old Virgilina man, Eugene Edward Wadsworth, faces a felony charge of possession of a weapon by a felon, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records. Wadsworth also faces two misdemeanor charges of obstruction of justice/ resisting arrest by threat or force. Deputy S.T. Comer served the warrants on Friday for the offenses allegedly occurring on Thursday.
  • Quinn Theadon Tucker, 35, of South Boston, faces misdemeanor charges of assault and battery of a family member, petit larceny of less than $1,000 from a person, stalking, placing another person in reasonable fear of death/sexual assault/bodily injury; and shoplifting/altering merchandise with a value under $1,000. Deputy D.E. Drumwright served the warrants for all four offenses on Friday. The first three offenses allegedly occurred that same day and the last offense allegedly occurred on July 30. 
  • Reginald D. Bowman, 39, of South Boston, faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member. Deputy C.D. Wilborne served the warrant on Friday for the offense allegedly occurring that same day.
  • Peter Lee Huffman, 65, of South Boston, faces a misdemeanor charge of public swearing/intoxication. Comer served the warrant on Saturday for the offense allegedly occurring that same day.
  •  Tracey Shanika Chappell, 33, of South Boston, faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member and a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny of less than $1,000 from a person.
  • Another agency served the warrants on Sunday for the offenses allegedly occurring on Friday.
  • Ryall Quincy Majors, 48, of Halifax, faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member. Deputy J.S. Garber served the warrant on Monday for the offense allegedly occurring that same day.
