Authorities with the South Boston Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the person pictured in connection with an armed robbery that occurred around 9:50 p.m. Monday at the Jiffy convenience store located on John Randolph Boulevard.

Authorities with the South Boston Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a surveillance photo in connection with a robbery that occurred on around 9:50 p.m. Monday at the Jiffy convenience store located on John Randolph Boulevard.

The suspect approached the cashier with his hand in his blue and white hooded sweatshirt pocket making the cashier believe that he had a weapon in his possession.

“No weapon was seen,” said Lt. Tiffaney Bratton.

After he demanded money, he left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was described as a Black man with a deep voice.

No one was injured during this incident.

Individuals also can message the department on its Facebook page and anyone having any information regarding this may remain anonymous.

Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
