A 41-year-old South Boston man faces a felony charge for assault with intent to maim, in addition to charges for strangulation/choking another and assault and battery of a family member, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Christopher Michael Wheeler Jr. of Cedar Avenue, South Boston was charged with the alleged offenses when Officer D. Blanks Jr. served the warrants on Friday, and Wheeler was held on no bond.

• Tamra Beck Barker, 47, of North Terry’s Bridge Road, Halifax faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting.

Officer K. Bane served the warrant for the alleged offenses on Friday, and Barker was released on summons.

• Malina Justine Hicks, 33, of Cedar Avenue, South Boston faces a charge of being a fugitive from justice.

Bane served the warrant for the alleged offense on Friday.

• Shawnie Wilson Cline, 41, of White Oak Drive, South Boston, faces charges of DUI/DUID and failure to obey a traffic light.

Officer R. McGuire served the warrants for the alleged offenses on Saturday, and Cline was held on a $1,500 unsecured bond.

• Chris Ford Jr., 45, of Moore Street, South Boston faces charges of DUI/DUID and impersonation.

Corporal C. Collie served the warrants for the alleged offenses on Saturday.

• Abigail Jo Farrar, 21, of Harmony Road, Alton, faces charges of DUI/DUID and disregarding a stop sign.

McGuire served the warrants for the alleged offenses on Tuesday.

• Jasmine Desiray Medley, 26, of East Bishop Drive, South Boston, faces a charge of DUI/DUID.

Officer A.B. Jones served the warrant for the alleged offense on Sunday, and Medley was held on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

• Zaquan Deelontae Meadows, 18, of Jewell Street, South Boston faces a charge of possession of marijuana.

Collie served the warrant for the alleged offense on Monday, and Meadows was released on summons.

• Courtney Deron Chandler, 29, of Lincoln Drive, South Boston, faces a charge of DUI/DUID.

Blanks served the warrant for the alleged offense on Sunday.

• A 39-year-old Alton woman faces eight felony money charges, including four for check forgery, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Dori Pate Cole also faces three felony charges for utilities fraud in an amount greater than $500 and one felony charge for obtaining identification documents with the intent to defraud.

The alleged offenses occurred Aug. 21, 2015, Feb. 4, 2016 and July 19, 2016, and Investigator J. M. Burton served the warrants on Monday.

• Jarvis Maurice Hankins, 37, of Bostick Trail, Halifax faces a felony charge of disregarding a police command and misdemeanors for driving on a suspended license after a DUI conviction, DUI: second conviction within five to 10 years; and refusing a blood/breath test.

The alleged offenses occurred June 6, and Deputy W.G. Nunn served the warrants on Monday.

• Kevin Monroe Murray, 43, of Link Puryear Road, South Boston faces a felony charge of a probation violation.

The alleged offense occurred Jan. 12, 2017, and Deputy R.L. Compton served the warrant on Saturday.

• James David Stricker Jr., 58, of Bowling Green, Front Royal faces a felony charge of grand larceny – not from a person.

The alleged offense occurred on June 16, and another agency served the warrant on Sunday.

• Lorie Ann Suarez, 42, of Stovall Trail, Halifax faces a misdemeanor charge of being drunk in public.

The alleged offense occurred on Saturday, and Deputy T. M. Moore served the warrant the same day.

• Rebecca Claytor Murray, 41, of Magnolia Street, Clover, faces a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court — without a jury.

The alleged offense occurred July 22, and Compton served the warrant on Saturday.

• Alfred Sherwood Coleman, 61, of Sunny Lane, Scottsburg faces a misdemeanor charge of a violation of his conditions of good behavior as ordered by the court.

The alleged offense occurred on May 7, and Compton served the warrant on Sunday.

• Jeffrey Darnell Wilson, 44, of Mill Pond Road, Saxe, faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred on Saturday, and Deputy J. A. Short served the warrant on Monday.

• Joshua Daniel Hailey, 31, of Franklin Turnpike, Danville faces a misdemeanor charge of a violation of his good behavior provisions.

The alleged offense occurred April 15, and another agency served the warrant on Monday.

• Bristol Martin Jr., 75, of North Main Street, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred on Friday, and Deputy S. M. Bowen served the warrant on Monday.

• Angie Lee Owen, 40, of Hillcroft Road, Charlotte Courthouse faces a misdemeanor charge of a violation of his conditions of good behavior.
