A 27-year-old South Boston man faces a felony drug charge of possession of a Schedule I/II substance, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Michael Devon Lawson of 123 Poplar Creek St. was charged with the alleged offense that occurred on Jan. 2, and another agency served the warrant on Thursday.

• Malik Devaughn Powell, 22, of North Main Street, South Boston faces misdemeanor charges of assault and battery of a family member and brandishing a firearm.

The alleged offenses occurred on Feb. 26, and deputy W.G. Nunn served the warrants on Thursday.

• Erik Wade Cole, 28, of New Bethel Road, Alton faces a felony community based program violation.

The alleged offense occurred on Aug. 22, and deputy J.S. Garber served the warrant on Thursday.

• Jessie Daniel Moon Jr., 75, of Moon Road, Long Island faces misdemeanor charges of having an expired registration, driving while license suspended or revoked and driving under the influence.

The alleged offenses occurred Friday, and deputy H.O. Weddle served the warrants the same day.

• Makayla Star Kendrick, 22, of Tobacco Road, Hurdle Mills, North Carolina faces a felony charge of failure to appear.

The alleged offense occurred Feb. 7, and another agency served the warrant on Saturday.

• Tyler Lacy Martin, 23, of Bennett Lane, Clover faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear.

The alleged offense occurred on Oct. 10, and Sgt. J.P. Adams served the warrant on Saturday.

• Edward Lee Hindman, 60, of Roxbury Road, Hagerstown, Maryland faces a felony probation violation.

The alleged offense occurred on Dec. 20, 2017, and another agency served the capias on Saturday.

• K’Keon Nathaniel Watson, 23, of Ball Park Loop, Halifax faces misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon and identify theft.

The alleged offenses occurred Sept. 9, and deputy D.L. Clark served the warrants on Sunday.

• Stacy Melinda Davis-McCauley, 43, of Scottsburg Road, Scottsburg was issued a misdemeanor capias for show cause.

The alleged offense occurred on Feb. 25, and Wilborne served the capias on Monday.

• Shane Allen Hancock, 38, of 16178 L.P. Bailey Memorial Highway, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor probation violation charge.

The alleged offense occurred on Friday, and deputy C.D. Wilborne served the capias on Monday.

• Danny Curtis Spurlock, 50, of North Main Street, Clover faces a misdemeanor charge of driving while license suspended, third offense.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and deputy J.L. Franco served the warrant the same day.

A 44-year-old South Boston man, Kevan Eugene Brown of East Bishop Drive faces charges of larceny for shoplifting and being drunk in public/curse and abuse, according to South Boston Police Department records.

Officer S. Kenney served the warrants on Sunday. Brown was held under a $1,500 secured bond.

• Bobby Brizendine, 67, of Bermann Street, South Boston faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Officer W.K. Bane served the warrant on Friday.

• Lashawn Demon Traynham, 38, of New Castle Lane, Spring Lake, North Carolina faces a charge of possession of marijuana.

Officer A.B. Jones served the warrant on Saturday. Traynham was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

• Curry Ruben Nealous Jr., 59, of Marshall Avenue, South Boston faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving while license suspended/revoked.

Bane served the warrants on Sunday.

• Carolyn A. Burden, 53, of Bane Street, South Boston faces a charge of larceny for shoplifting.

Kenney served the warrant on Sunday. Burden was released on summons.

• Kayleigh Mae Desmond, 21 of Matts Trail, Nathalie faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Jones served the warrant on Thursday. Desmond was held under a $1,500 secured bond.
