A 25-year-old South Boston man faces a misdemeanor charge each of obstruction of justice/resisting arrest and public swearing/intoxication, according to Halifax County Sheriff’s Office records.

Tavon Calil Lipscomb of Love Shop Park was charged with the alleged offense that occurred Saturday, and deputy C. D. Wilborne served the warrant the same day.

• David Wayne Howerton, 45, of Huells Matthews Highway, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of a family member.

The alleged offense occurred Tuesday, and deputy J. B. Ragans served the warrant the same day.

• Alexander Seals, 23, of Wright Road, Keysville faces two misdemeanor charges of failure to appear.

The alleged offenses occurred April 5, and another agency served the warrants Monday.

• Richard Noell Puckett, 56, of MacDonald Road, Scottsburg faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.

The alleged offense occurred June 13, and deputy J. S. Garber served the warrant Monday.

• Victor Eugene Smith, 39, of Volens Road, Nathalie faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear.

The alleged offense occurred Dec. 21, and another agency served the warrant Sunday.

• Andrew O’Brian Bass, 23, of Ash Avenue, South Boston faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

The alleged offense occurred Sunday, and another agency served the warrant the same day.

• Josey May Noblin, 35, of Clays Mill Road, Scottsburg faces a misdemeanor charge of providing a false report to law enforcement.

The alleged offense occurred Saturday, and Wilborne served the warrant the same day.
